Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital
Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital was upgraded to a level 2 trauma center and needed to retire their old equipment. First, they needed to replace their discontinued Executone and upgrade their current Jeron nurse call system. They wanted to upgrade each floor as needed and not all at once.
What they wanted:
- Replace discontinued Executone system
- Upgrade Jeron 680 systems to Jeron 790
- Sound masking to enhance privacy and mask the conversations between patients and practitioners
- Public address system throughout the hospital
- Have all Jeron systems tie into one EIS reporting package
- Not interested in pagers or mobile device integration
- To interrupt operations as little as possible
- Had to keep existing system running during installation
Our solution:
- Tie all Jeron systems to the 790 platform
- Tie all Jeron systems into one EIS reporting package
- Replace Executone on 1st-3rd and 8th floor with Jeron 790 system
- Added localized paging in the emergency department
- Installed sound masking in emergency department and other parts of the hospital
- Install public address system throughout hospital
Future plans:

- Replacing ground and 1st floor of heart center with Jeron 790
- 4th, 6th and 7th floor upgrade from Jeron 680 to Jeron 790 system
